Hi, I’m Eirini Fotiou. From the bustling boardrooms of London, Brussels, and Athens to the stages of over 15 international conferences, I’ve taken on diverse roles at renowned companies like SWIFT and MASTERCARD, in the financial and the management consulting world. Alongside my dynamic career of 10+ years, I've been academically enriched with two Masters in Management and International Management from the London School of Economics.
However, amid the rhythm of life's ebbs and flows, I encountered a defining moment that altered my course: breast cancer when i was 29 years old. This wasn't just a physical ailment; it served as a profound invitation to reevaluate every facet of my existence—from my core priorities to the very essence of my relationships. This transformative episode led me on a journey of genuine forgiveness, nurturing profound connections, and, notably, attuning to the whispers of my inner voice, my intrinsic essence. Each time I recount this chapter of my story at conferences, I'm met with the overwhelming feedback that it resonates deeply, inspiring many.
Rising from this transformative phase, I embarked on a new academic endeavor. I first became a certified Health Coach and then earned a Masters in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy from the Central University of Lancashire. With this newfound knowledge and my personal experiences, I established a non-profit organisation 3 years ago, focusing on Positive Education. and positive psychology principles in educational institutions while also supporting parents in nurturing the holistic development of their children.
Today, I have founded my own company and work as a mental health counselor. My approach as a counselor is rooted in the belief that we can shape our thoughts, and consequently, control our emotions and results in life. Guiding professionals and individuals alike, I provide them with tools and strategies to control their inner narratives, thereby preventing stress-related issues and ensuring optimal mental well-being.
In my public speaking i talk about my transformative life journey, about how i reframed the cancer challenge into an opportunity for a new way of leaving and the importance of mental health in the workplace.
