My name is Kimberly T. Mitchell.
I am a single mother of two. A recipient of the benefits of the Clout Program at Pace University in White Plains, NY.
I graduated in 2001 with a Certificate In Computer Applications, then I went on to complete my Associates degree in Computer Science in 2003.
In 2004, I went on to work on my bachelor’s degree at the College of New Rochelle.
I am an author; the title of my book is “Finding Love and Healing in the Pen”.
A Public Speaking Coach, an Area 15 Director, for Toastmasters International in District 46.
I am also in the process of establishing my Non-Profit called “His Unlikely Source.”
When I speak about my journey, I always mention how the Clout Program became my open door.
The mindset of being on Social Services can be crippling. Although, I am grateful because I wouldn’t be writing you this without the push and motivation with all that I have accomplished and currently accomplish.
The Non-Profit, I hope to be everything and more than The Clout Program was to me.
Although the Clout Program gave me my first speaking engagement, I was nervous. I gave the opening speech at the closing ceremony at Pace University. In front of the County Execs. Commissioner, Professors, Family, and Friends. I still get nervous; however, it is good energy, knowing I have so much to be thankful for.
I called the office to see if you were ever in need of a speaker at an event. I would love to know about your resources and how these resources can help Single-Mothers. What are their roadblocks?
On my website: https://kimtspeaks.org/, You will see resources and how you can purchase a copy of my book. I keep inventory for special engagements.
In my book, I discuss my challenges as a single mother, not understanding my worth, and dealing with having Alopecia Areata.
