SpeakerHub Website Update No.9: Improved speaker profiles and alert settings
In the past few months, we’ve been working on crafting a handful of features specifically for our VIP users, including making paying events more front-and-centre.
Additionally, there are some new features for all of our speakers and organizers, to help you make better connections.
Improving your speaker profile: new features
Location, location, location
Now it's possible to adjust the speaking fee for different event locations you’d like to receive event alerts about.
Whether you’d like to set the fee for speaking events in your continent, your country, or your region, you’ll receive event alerts for the locations that you’ve set.
For example, if you are traveling abroad, you might be interested in only hearing about higher paying events, whereas if it is local, you might be up for negotiating.
Paying events for VIP Speakers
We want to help you find the events that will help you build your speaking business, and understand that finding and booking paying speaking events is one of the best ways to do this.
Now our VIP level speakers will be able see the listed paying events (or events listed as “negotiable”).
On the events page, you can use the filters on the left panel to sort free events and events with a speaker budget, whether travel and accommodation costs are covered, as well as search by topics and keywords.
This makes finding the perfect events to apply for more straight-forward and precise.
If you have not upgraded your account, you will be able to view a paid event if you have been directly invited to apply by the event organizer.
Press Kits and One-Sheets
All speakers now have two extra items they can upload: a Press Kit, and a One-Sheet.
Your Press Kit and Speaker One-Sheet are great marketing materials and will help event organizers learn more about you and your topics quickly.
Want to add them to your profile? Simply go to “Media” and upload your files.
Spam protection for Event Organizers
When you send us feedback, we take action!
Recently, an event organizer let us know they were getting too many spam emails, so we have made some changes to protect you from this happening.
You can now choose to display or hide your email address, if you’d only like to be contacted you via your website’s contact form.
