I strive to embrace my own fears and challenge my limiting beliefs whenever I encounter them. Life is my teacher, and I have a long way to go and a great many lessons to learn; but as I learn, I want to share with others and help lift them up along the way. Here are a few examples of what I consider personal milestones and accomplishments:
* My entire life, I fostered and believed that I was a horrible dancer (coupled with various beliefs that came with a very conservative religious background). In February of 2019, I started dancing socially, and then dove into private lessons. In April of 2019, I performed for Luis Van Amstel (Dancing With The Stars, LaBlast) and a live audience of over 100.
* My entire life (as recently as 2018), I believed my ideas were not worth others' time. I perpetually apologized for presenting my ideas and assumed that sharing them were a waste of time.
Within 6 months of being hired to a position in a Fortune100 company, I took the initiative to pitch a job position to both my direct manager as well as the COO of our division. I have been directly involved as a SME in multiple projects of company-wide scope.
* As a freshman in college, I was absolutely terrified to stand in front of people even for a simple presentation. By the time I finished my Master's degree, I was performing in front of audiences of 2,000+.
