Ann Marie has been speaking at medical conferences around the world for over 15 years about her journey with Epilepsy. Through a surgery called Left Selective Amygdalohippocampectomy, done at the U of A Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Ann was able to BEAT the disorder!
Epilepsy is the 4th most common neurological condition. It affects over 50 million people worldwide and approximately 6% of Canadians live with the disorder.
Ann’s goal is to help others understand the disorder and to provide support to those with Epilepsy as well as friends and family members.
She works as an Education Assistant with behavior students (ADHD/ODD/Tourette’s/Anxiety) and has always been told that her personality is contagious; she is approachable and encourages interaction in her speeches.
Ann is a mother of three boys (27,23,15), dedicated to her job and wants to continue inspiring others around the world. Ann Marie has spoke in Canada, USA, Spain and South Africa; her next two keynote presentations are booked for Alberta, Canada in November 2022 and New York in April 2023.
