  • Annemarie facilitated Pride at Work Canada's first-ever Executive Sponsors' Breakfast for LGBT champions. Her work in helping to build the event concept, developing the program and running the morning was invaluable. Quick thinking, passionate and articulate are just three of the qualities that make Annemarie a strong leader in group sessions.

  • Annemarie presented on diversity, inclusion and connection for my grade 7 - 12 school's parent council. She actively engaged parents in a thoughtful workshop that emphasized how and why as parents and as a school community we need to be committed to diversity and inclusion. By sharing three key questions, participants were enabled to question their personal bias and their own commitment to diversity and inclusion. A highly recommended speaker for school communities and educators!

  • I was delighted when Annemarie accepted our invitation to speak with BMO’s Procurement team on the Day of Pink. Annemarie delivered an inspirational message, opening hearts (and minds) to the realities that others, who are different from us, face daily. Annemarie is an incredibly skilled presenter who effortlessly brings others along on her journey. Our participants connected with her instantly and there wasn’t a single person who didn’t feel inspired, moved or motivated by her remarks.

  • Annemarie Shrouder accepted our invitation to present at the Ontario Midwifery Student Conference in September 2016. Her contribution to the conference was profound, thought provoking and organized. There were over 100 people present and Annemarie was able to provide a cohesive framework to address personal bias that generated conversation amongst this large group. Very impressive! Annemarie found a way to inspire individuals to look critically at bias and how it affects every social interaction

  • Annemarie presented to over 150 delegates at the 4-H Canada Leadership Summit 2021. Even in a virtual environment, Annemarie's warmth, passion and compassion welcomed and drew delegates into the conversation and material. Her down to earth and honest approach, was able to engage and reach individuals where they were in their own personal understanding and diversity and inclusion work. The presentation was engaging using polls, minimal slides and small group discussions. Annemarie gave us all a great deal to consider and reflect on. She was a joy to work with in developing a session that would be meaningful for our unique audience. I would highly recommend Annemarie for other organizations looking for an engaging and meaningful speaker and workshop facilitator on diversity and inclusion.

Her deep knowledge and ability to connect to the audience in a virtual setting was fantastic.  In an interactive style that encouraged participation, this session was a great foundation-builder for future events to continue building awareness on this important topic.

  • Annemarie delivered a presentation to our membership in March 2021. Her presentation "I before D - Why Inclusion is the Key to Diversity" provided a great overview of the importance of inclusion. The interactive session engaged participants to consider why "everyone is welcome' may not be enough, and how to improve ways to be fully inclusive."

  • I first heard Annmarie speak at the annual meeting of a professional association called the Evolutionary Business Council. She was just one of the speakers who spoke on EDI but was definitely the standout. In fact, I was so impressed by the unique way she presented her vast knowledge on diversity and inclusion in the workplace and society at large that I recommended her as a speaker for another organization, the Transformational Leadership Council. She again hit an indisputable home run. Her profound ability to engage the group around a difficult topic in a non-confrontational manner and give us an experience of stepping into another’s shoes with no judgement was truly masterful. Participants are still talking about her presentation days later. I know that lives were changed.

  • I have always known that I stand for equality and equity, for inclusion and diversity. I do this consciously because I see these as fundamental elements of what I believe. However, through engagement with Annemarie, made me realize that, even as I consciously work for equality, equity, inclusion and diversity, in short, for justice, I must always seek to accept my unconscious biases that affect even the things that I try to do consciously. Accepting that we all have unconscious biases is the first step towards a fuller realization of inclusion and diversity in all spheres of life. I believe, Annemarie has helped me and my Institution to strengthen our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and to the elimination of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia at all levels of society.

  • Annemarie spoke to our group on multiracial/multiethnic identity and shared her experience and some poems. I found myself nodding in agreement over almost everything she said. It really is nice to hear experiences and be able to relate. I know our group greatly appreciated her candor and vulnerability!

  • Annemarie is a master. She presents her material clearly, with strength and courage, while holding the room with compassion and understanding. She has a beautiful way of inviting her audience in to explore difficult subjects honestly and inquisitively. She is smart, charming and funny. I cant wait to continue to grow and learn from her personal experiences and expertise at our next event.
