Bec is a project manager by day, language enthusiast by night, and inclusion advocate on days that end in 'y'.
Being neurodivergent, queer, and a young female in the IT world; she knows what it's like to feel that you don't belong. A survivor of complex trauma and DFV, she is resilient - taking back her power to turn struggle into strength by impacting change through advocacy, candor, and vulnerability.
She is experienced in diversity, equity & inclusion in the corporate realm - with a special passion for gender equity, LGBTIQA+ pride, early career talent, and neurodiversity. Another passion project for Bec is leading the co-design of lived experience (particularly with input of those with lived experience that belong to the following communities: LGBTIQA+, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, CALD, people with disabilities) so that we can embed experience as expertise when it comes to addressing social issues, such as upskilling and supporting GPs to recognise, respond and refer appropriately with patients experiencing Domestic and Family Violence.
A natural when it comes to putting people at ease and unlocking brilliance, Bec is a sought-after workshop facilitator, moderator, and public speaker.
When she's not busy trying to change the world, you can find her dabbling in foreign languages (Japanese, Chinese, German, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Romanian, and Vietnamese), writing slam poetry, or obsessing over the most recent addition to her crystal collection. Bec is passionate about radical candor to entice others to match her vulnerability and experience the relief of embracing being your true and full selves.
