Carmen W. Landrau, MD is a board certified physician who specializes in cardiology and a professional speaker.
During her talks on empowering women and equality, Dr. Landrau uses her many years of experience in a male dominated and hierarchical career to give women action steps that help them recognize their talents and voice their achievements in order to get to the next step in heir careers and in life. Her talks help women to regain confidence and take the necessary steps to become leaders.
She has helped numerous professional women advance and keep life balance while working in a demanding job by sharing techniques that help them understand how to best use their skills, get support and manage their time efficiently. She has also published articles on electronic magazines and several social media platforms.
Dr. Landrau has been the featured speaker of the American Heart Association in Houston Vestido Rojo event several years in a row. In addition, she has been doing live and TV presentations about prevention and management of heart disease in women and in the adult population in general.
She completed her medical training at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, followed by a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. After her graduation she was hired as part of the staff of the cardiology division at UT and later on decided to open her own private practice.
Dr. Landrau has been featured in H Texas Magazine and recognized among Houston's Top Doctors. She is available for speaking to corporations, groups, workshops and coaching sessions.
