Danielle Trey was born in Saint Louis, Missouri. The youngest and only girl of 3 older brothers. Danielle knew at the age of 8 years old she was destined to do something big that would impact the world.
In 2015 she wrote and published her first poetry collection, "Broken Flower: Bittersweet, In Repair & Fully Restored" Volume One under the pen name Danie James on Amazon.com. After that, her love of poetry called her back to the stage and she began doing mini-tours across the Midwest to promote herself as an artist.
In March 2021 she became a Motivational Speaker and Certified Life Coach in Women's Empowerment, Goal Success, Happiness, and Purpose. Danielle is also a Mental Health Advocate for Depression, Anxiety, and Suicide Prevention and Sexual Abuse Survivors. That same month, she announced her retirement from the arts community after years of being burnt out and not practicing self-care. "No one believed me when I announced my retirement, they called me a quitter and tried to discourage me from making the transition. I was always put into a box of just one gift. I did not get a lot of support from the arts community, which made my decision to retire a lot easier. I was pouring into other people's dreams and visions, that I neglected my own for the past five years. I was drained. Becoming a Motivational Speaker gave me purpose and it filled my cup, I was finally happy. I had a story to tell and there was an audience out waiting for me to share it. I was closing the chapter as an entertainer, it was only a stepping stone for me to start my new chapter as a Motivational Speaker. If I could go back, I would have become a Speaker sooner."
Danielle has been a keynote speaker at the following conferences: The Self-Love Brunch, The PowerUp Summit, The LevelUp Summit, The Emerging Women Leaders Empowerment Summit, and the Leading Change Women's Leadership Conference. Danielle is currently writing her first memoir, "Taking Center Stage" and two Ebooks, "Wine, Meditation and Reese's Cups" and "Little Black & Filipino Girl". In August 2022 Danielle launched Diamond Life Coaching Services. Her Life Coaching sessions focus on helping women transform their lives for the better. Danielle has always had a passion for helping people due to her nurturing spirit and desire to make people smile and be happy. "I have gone through so much in my life, to be a testament to women and tell them I have been where you are, is the biggest blessing I can receive. If I can go through the fire and survive it, you can do the same as well! It's a process, so my philosophy is, that healing is not an overnight thing. It takes time. The key is patience with yourself and belief that you will get there."
