Hello, my name is Ebony Wiley. I am the Managing Consultant at Marteen Holland Group and creator of the Pretty Little Leader podcast, a bold communication on the tactics and strategies I used to navigate the treacherous waters of corporate America and rise to corporate executive in the power generation industry. I am originally from Cleveland, OH. I was born to teenage parents, grew up with a parent with substance abuse. I am the eldest of three siblings. I graduated with a B.S. in chemical engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, summa cum laude and a M.E. in Engineering Management from Case Western Reserve. I spent nearly 20 years at General Electric, in supply chain , engineering, and proposal development. My last role at GE was Executive General Manager for the Aeroderivative Proposal Development global engineering team. I led a team of 20+ engineers on every continent.
I am an unapologetic leader who has disrupted cultural norms and elevated the expectations of my peers globally. I led a global engineering team and closed deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars in 20+ countries. I am a part of the elite, 4% of black women who reached to the executive ranks within Fortune 50 companies.Therefore, I understand the challenges that exist and clearly chart the path for rising female leaders across borders. Not only have I successfully navigated the anticipated gender and racial gaps domestically, I learned to layer my movement with strategy and savvy activation of emotional intelligence to lead in a global environment. I am a wife and a mom to three children.
