J. Sequeira has a degree in Psychology from the University of Porto. He trained at the Bromham Psychiatric Hospital in England and held positions in several European Programs, such as NOW – New Opportunities for Women.
Mainly works in the following areas: organizational change; personal overcoming; negotiation; leadership; resilience; motivation; driving teams; entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
As researcher, he focused his masters on establishing competencies to confront stress and anxiety. Later, he completed the PhD, whose scope is related to mental training, focusing his intervention essentially in the optimization of dimensions such as: motivation; establishing objectives; emotional management; self-confidence; team building and group cohesion.
Author of several articles and chronicles in the scope of behavioral management, sports psychology and social thinking. He has presented more than three hundred lectures and communications in companies, congresses and workshops, both in Portugal and across borders. He also collaborates with several newspapers and magazines and maintains regular activity as a TV commentator.
As a professor he teaches to masters and postgraduates disciplines such as: human resources management, communication and image, methods of psychological assessment, behavior in organizations and talent management, among others.
As part of his intervention in high athletic performance, he is a lecturer in football coaches courses and in this capacity, he was a professor of several coaches such as Jesualdo Ferreira, José Mourinho, among others.
