Jag Nagendra hails from a Southern Indian city of Bangalore. He completed his formal education in 1989, to join an industrial automation and control startup. Passionate about engineering, he spent the first four years of his career there and made a significant contribution to the company’s growth. In 1993, he went on to launch a startup company of his own - Cimtech, focused on providing System Integration services to the Manufacturing and Process industries. He was successful in securing the System House status from GE Fanuc Automation, their first System House in India. In 1997, under his leadership, Cimtech started to offer Building automation products and services to emerging markets such as pharmaceutical industries, Tech Parks, etc.
Jag Nagendra moved to the United States in 2000 and has worked for a broad range of organizations since then. Jag is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. He has over 25 years of experience in engineering, management, and leadership, and has worked for small startups to large American corporates. He is also a subject matter expert in the area of SCADA systems Design and Implementation.
As a leader, Jag actively participates in community services, and is zealous in helping individuals and the community, achieve their goals. He is an active member of several local government boards, such as the City of Davis, Sacramento County, etc. and a few non-profit organizations. He believes in giving back to the community and advocates volunteering, as the greatest gift one can give.
