Bio

Computer Engineer, DevOps enthusiast and FOSS contributor, he is currently working as Developer Advocate at Red Hat.

Natale is a Software Engineer with more than 10 years of expertise on IT and ICT technologies and a consolidated background on Telecommunications and Linux operating systems. He is familiar with Object-Oriented programming languages and Design Patterns, scripting, and most common Configuration Management tools.

He likes to automate everything and Infrastructure-as-a-Code paradigm.

His focus is spreading Opensource technologies with open formats and industry Standards, and Blues all over the world.

Explaining CI/CD capabilities of OpenShift, running a live demo with Jenkins Pipelines using Source2Image (S2I) to Build and Deploy a JBoss based Web Application across multiple environments.

Serverless with OpenShift

Presentation I delivered at Openslava 2018 conference in Bratislava, Slovakia.

During the presentation I exposed Serverless computing definition and CNCF specification around that. I run then a live demo on how to do serverless with OpenShift using Knative project.

Knative project has started as Serverless extension to Kubernetes capabilities and now is having a great momentum enabling cloud native development. Learn how Knative Build, the component responsible for source-to-container build orchestration, can be used not only for serverless use cases, but also for any workload inside Kubernetes, building reproducible container images directly from source code.
