Natasha A. Pierre is an award-winning speaker, author, certified professional life coach and a mental health advocate with over 20 years of lived experience. Her relatable speaking style allows her to connect with global audiences to share the importance of self-awareness, self-advocacy, community building and effective legislation.
Natasha was born and raised on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She entered the world of professional speaking at age 14 as a co-host on her island’s teen talk show. She was lauded for her on-camera poise and confidence, and soon became a sought-after keynote speaker at territory-wide forums addressing education, health and economy.
Natasha has a B.A. in Mass Communications from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and a Social Security Administration Work Incentives Practitioner credential from Cornell University. Her additional certifications include: Supported Employment, Peer Mentoring and Ministry. For the last five years, Natasha has devoted much of her time to mental health education and advocacy. She is the Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)-Hillsborough affiliate, in Tampa, Florida. She serves on the Board of Trustees for First Unity Spiritual Campus in St. Petersburg, FL, and is a faculty member of the Institute for Leadership and Lifelong Learning.
