Bio

Bringing forward more than 20 years of experience in education, nonprofits, and leadership, Nichole Myles weaves together compelling storytelling with experience and expertise to engage listeners in a journey of self-discovery – the ups and downs of growth – and what it really takes to come back from trauma. Nichole’s specialties in trauma-informed practices, resilience, and post-traumatic growth aren’t just rooted in her expertise: as a domestic abuse survivor who lost everything, lived in hiding, and had to rebuild an entire life all while raising 3 children, she’s lived it.

Nichole has an MA in i/o psychology with a coaching and consulting concentration, and 2 levels of professional certification in trauma and resilience. She also carries a CAGS in Nonprofit Management, a CFRE (certified fundraising executive) designation, and a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Certificate. Nichole’s specialty is creating easily accessible frameworks, methods, and tools that help turn trauma into transformation. She uses her education to hone poignant personal stories into opportunities for participants to glean critical steps for their own growth, examine what they’ve overcome, and learn to lean into that experience to amplify their futures.

Nichole has been a featured speaker and workshop facilitator for many organizations including the National Conference on Crimes Against Women, the National Coalition on Domestic Violence, LEAD UMC, and the SheisMe international summit. Her TEDx talk, ‘Lessons I’ve learned from the people who don’t like me’ has been viewed more than 80,000 times. Nichole works as an ‘expert companion’ in the position of speaker, facilitator, consultant, or coach, helping move clients from ‘survivorship’ to ‘thrivorship’.

When she's no speaking and educating on Trauma-informed approaches, Nichole is likely to be found in the hot yoga studio or with a paintbrush in her hand as her alter ego, 'Nicki Scribbles'.
