With 31 years old, P. Azevedo studied to be a biomedical engineer. In a twist of events, two months prior to entering college, he decided to change to Law School. He now has a graduate degree in Law, a Scientific Masters in Law and a Postgraduate Course in Law. Not happy with attending postgraduate courses, he started lecturing in them.
He worked in one the major portuguese law firms, has advised investment funds, has worked alongside governmental agencies, as well as solo as a legal consultant and adviser, and is currently Of Counsel in a internationally driven law firm.
He played rugby for several years, in two teams simultaneously, that led to several surgeries, and in the need to find other sports. While creating his own law magazine, he intensified his bodyboarding and surf skills as a metaphor for professional and personal life fulfillment and understanding. This stress-less life was balanced with hard simultaneous work as a lawyer, arbitrator, editor, writer and lecturer.
P. Azevedo lectured over half a thousand hours of courses to entities such as the Portuguese Government, Public Hospitals, Municipalities, Private Energy Production and Waste Removal companies, as well as in the University of Lisbon, the University of Coimbra, the Portuguese Bar Association and the Centre for Judicial Studies that trains judges and public prosecutors. He wrote dozens of articles, opinions and newspaper columns. He now wants to share simpler approaches to success.
