Bio

My name is Phaydra Crews, and I run the Master Resiliency Training program at Moody Airforce Base, and I am also the Community Support Coordinator. I’m obsessed with assisting military members/leaders learn the importance of resilience. In 2018, when I took this position and decided to commit my life to investing in the care and support of our military and their families. Over last 3 years I have been able to provide resources, support, and opportunities. “The good news about resilience is that can be learned. No matter where you start there is always room for growth.”

“Our resilience team is working to build a culture where we help military put their people first. We want to help empower leaders to complete their missions and maintain good order and discipline while also remaining connected with their team so they can lead with compassion, empathy, character and grace, while treating every human with dignity and respect.”

I live in Valdosta GA with a little crazy 3-year-old and a hubby, and an amazing group of teammates that support me every day.

Combined Awareness Event

Over 15 agencies and we spoke on Domestic Violence Awareness, Military Children Resources, and Resilience. We have multiple booths set up to allow people to learn about Resilience. For team building fun we had our Yoga instructor come about and do "Office Work Out in 10 minutes using your computer Chair". We also had the Zumba team come out and keep the audience moving.

Resilience is Contagious

During the pandemic, I conducted multiple Zoom events that spoke about the importance of staying resilient during a pandemic. I gave examples on how to stay resilient in your home and work. Also for team building provided some fun activities to utilize on Zoom calls to keep the audience engaged.

Key Spouse Resiliency Day

In this event, the spouses of our military members got their own resiliency day because without them our Airmen would not be able to function. In this event, I included an ice breaker that allow for the spouse to break up into group and get to know each other. The main topic I spoke on was mindfulness.

Private Org- WINGS "Breaking through the Pain"

The organization is a Women Based Organization focused on taking care of the millennial women in the Airforce. My topic at this event focused on "Gratitude". I think it is important to focus on the small thing going well in your life and when it feel like everything is going wrong.
