Pooja Jain

Pooja is a neuroscientist and started her career focusing on the dementia care sector. She has personal and professional experience as a carer and working as a digital health consultant. She now is the founder and CEO of CogniHealth.

In 2018, she started CogniHealth, an intersection of all her experiences in research, caring and technology. Her vision with CogniHealth is to improve the quality of life of families affected by long-term conditions, including dementia. She has brought several award-winning digital solutions to the market that address dementia, functional neurological disorder, and children's mental health. She works with patients, carers, academics, charities, healthcare professionals, and care providers collaboratively to co-produce solutions. This gives her real insight into the health and social care sector.

Her work so far at CogniHealth has led her to be named the Top 20 women to watch out for in 2018 by Business Insider. Pooja is a former RSE Unlocking Ambition Enterprise Fellow and won the AcceleraterHer Award hosted by Investing Women.

She hopes to transform the lives of people affected by long-term conditions and help improve cognitive health around the world.

Pooja is interested in the role and use of digital technology in health and social care, with the viewpoint of "it's not about the technology but people and their mindset". She has been a keynote speaker and a panelist sharing her thoughts and insights about this topic at several conferences and events internationally. She brings real stories to the table from both her personal experiences and professional work, where the audience is able to easily understand and relate to the views she shares, even on futuristic technology applications.

She also encourages students and empowers girls/women to consider STEM and entrepreneurship. She has spoken at schools, science festivals, and PhD career talks, sharing her journey - both her failures and successes and the role her work has played in her life.
