Hi! I’m Tabitha Johnson. I’m a Certified Dementia Practitioner as well as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT).
I started working in the health care field in 2011 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a long term care facility on the Dementia unit while attending college.
In May of 2016, I graduated with my Masters of Science in Health Care Administration with a concentration in Gerontology. I have worked as the Director of Social Services or Resident Services since 2015 and have recently won the Social Worker of the Year Award through the Georgia Health Care Association.
I am currently the President of the Georgia Society of Nursing Home Social Workers and served as the Northwest Council President for Social Workers since 2015.
My educational and occupational experiences have allowed me to enhance my understanding of Dementia and the Alzheimer’s disease. My personal involvement intensifies my compassion and love for teaching others, to improve and provide those suffering with the disease, a better quality of life.
