  • We at the Zebra were fortunate to have Tara speak at our company for Human Rights Day, and she did a phenomenal job. I enjoyed her presentation as well as going into more detail about the aspects of human rights in the workplace. Tara gave some excellent examples and personal stories that showed how passionate she was on the topic, as well as what that means for equity, diversity, and humanness. She was a dynamic speaker, and engaged the audience throughout the talk.Me and my team were able to engage on a personable level. It was insightful, inspiring, and presented a call to action in our surrounding community. I would love to have Tara come back for any speaking engagements that might be of interest to her, we really enjoyed her.

  • Tara gave the closing keynote presentation at the recent IPMA-HR Utah Chapter Annual Conference. As usual and expected, her and Justin's work was top notch. The content, delivery, tone and manner were precisely what we had in mind; she had obviously taken all information given her into consideration and applied it to every facet of her address. Her energy and passion for making things better for people in our workplaces and otherwise is clear and contagious. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

  • If you want truth, passion, and inspiration, have Tara been your speaker. She preaches what we all need to hear to be better and treat people right. That is my kind of HR!

  • Tara is a powerful speaker and natural leader. It was refreshing being on the panel with her surrounding the state of working moms in the time of COVID. She keeps it real and gives space to women. I recommend her for organizations seeking a new sense of leadership.

  • Tara has this way of bringing out the best (and worst) in people in such a way that you are transformed. When I say the best, I mean that she will challenge you. She will not let you back down. You are not allowed to shrink. You will leave her presence feeling emboldened, empowered, and uplifted. She does this with her podcasts, books, websites, classes, group texts, and wow, I'm tired just writing all of that! When I say the worst, what I mean is that we are in the age of exposing misogyny, racism, gender bias, and will push your limits to expose those who were hiding and lurking in the shadows. Tara is not afraid to test the status quo. She is not afraid to call you out when you are not being a good human. And she is NOT AFRAID. I'm proud and honored to be part of the "Not the HR Lady" family. It's an honor to know Tara, and I'm a better person for it.

  • It was great, loved the graphics and detail you went into on each descriptive topic with examples that can be implemented into our daily routines. We like to have actionable items that an entrepreneur can do immediately. I have not had a presenter present in a storybook theme which was pretty neat as well as a breath of fresh air since we host year-round webinars. Some presentations tend to become stale if you are hosting one per day. My millennial attention span thanks you very much!

  • I invited Tara to be a guest on All Thing's Equitable's YouTube Series, "White and Woke at Work," where I profile people's journeys to becoming anti racists. What an awesome guest she was! Tara was honest, forthright, and shared such personal aspects of herself in our chat. It was refreshing to watch her get so vulnerable about her personal life and yet still provide so much insight into her passion for making improvements to workplaces! She is clearly knowledgeable about all things HR and a is powerful orator too! Anyone in need of a truth-telling firecracker who can engage an audience should contact Tara.

  • Tara Furiani is amazing! She speaks the truth and is unapologetic in her truth and that is a very rare quality in a person. I am in awe of her ability to master her career and motherhood all in one swoop. Being a mother of 7 is not an easy task but to do that and run a successful business and podcast show is nothing short of incredible. Tara's show gives you the facts, challenges your thinking on the status quo, and makes you want to be the best professional you can be. She is everything I want to be in a professional and more. I look forward to seeing how she develops her career and I am honored to now be able to watch that journey a little closer.
    Julie Turney
  • Tara is more than amazing and if you had the chance to work with her, you will remember her special powers that elevate you not only as an employee, but as a person too! I get to witness her ability to listen and help you take something, break it down, identify opportunities to make changes and improvements. She has a strong and strategic approach that can quickly turn into solutions of how we will get there. Being the type that would give you her shirt off her back, she truly cares for people and demonstrates this naturally, everyday. She is smart, quick witted, friendly, strong leadership, innovative, strong execution, and very passionate. Tara is someone I would recommend to any company looking to take their organization to the next level.

  • Few people have the opportunity to report to a manager who is also a coach and a mentor— but I did when I worked for Tara. When we were looking for a Chief People Officer at Alamo Drafthouse in 2018, Tara stood out because of her ability to command a room and get people on board with exciting new ideas—even people who were initially on completely different pages. And of course, when people left the those meetings, she made sure everyone left with a smile. Tara would be a true asset for any company requiring a dynamic leader and comes with my heartfelt recommendation.

  • I had the pleasure for working with Tara to transform our company culture and improve critical KPIs in our largest expense line - people. Tara has a rare ability to quickly identify the improvement levers and act upon them. She is creative and effective. She balances a graceful friendly approach with a firm hand to drive change in an organization. In short order, she was able to put a talent strategy together for a 4,500 people organization. She build a team and put the program in place to dramatically improve our talent recruitment process, cost, satisfaction and retention. Tara is smart, witty, diplomatic, strategic, intuitive, effective and a pleasure to work with.
