Call for Speakers

We look to help SpeakerHub’s members to expand their reach and ability to deliver their messages effectively and generate revenue from speaking.

Who better to learn from than SpeakerHub’s own network of experts?

We are planning to offer high quality education and training to our public speakers, trainers and webinar hosts. We are looking for 5 of our valued members to each host a 45-minute webinar session based on their expertise.

The webinar will raise your visibility in the speaking industry globally, and solidify you as expert both in our community of over 1000 speakers and to attendees from around the world.

We’d like to invite you to apply to be one of these select speakers. Apply here.

Whatever your key topic or industry, your expertise to share best practices, insights, tips and tricks will help speakers become better, smarter, and more effective.

Here is a list of topics we are looking for experts in:

  • How speakers can find their niche and topics of expertise
  • Finding your ideal audience - and recognize who not to speak to
  • How to market yourself as a high-level speaker
  • Why speakers should become trainers (instructors) too
  • How to contact event organizers and seal the deal (and what to avoid when you are starting out)
  • Building confidence and becoming a great professional speaker

If you are interested in speaking on any of these topics (or have ideas for other subjects related to improving speakers skills or business.)  See our event posting here.

Benefits of working with SpeakerHub

Webinars are a convenient way to deliver key messages and build a stronger global community of public speakers and trainers.  We will record the live webinars, and make them available in the future to help support our speaker network.

When will the webinars be held?

We are looking to host 5 sessions, on a range of topics related to public speaking over the course of 5 weeks as of September 2016. We would only need you to be available for one of the time slots, however.

What does SpeakerHub provide?

  1. Marketing: SpeakerHub provides all the marketing of the webinar which showcases the faculty and their organization. You are also welcome to promote it to your network.

  2. Assistance: The SpeakerHub team will be available to help the presenters in the planning and presentation of the webinar.

  3. Logistics: The presenters will be provided with the platform for presenting

  4. Post-event: We make all webinars, along with a full transcript, freely available on SpeakerHub and provide links to the presenter’s profile. We also keep marketing the webinars to our growing community globally.

What are the presenter's responsibilities?

  1. Provide a visually engaging PowerPoint or Prezi presentation to be used for the visual part of the webinar.

  2. Participate in at least one run-through meeting where you share your ideas and webinar plans with the SpeakerHub team.

  3. Identify back-up presenter or co-host who could host should an emergency occur on the scheduled webinar date and time.

Note: In exchange for the exceptional marketing and visibility for you within our network, SpeakerHub will not be providing an honorarium or reimburse expenses for presenters.

The ideal SpeakerHub webinar speaker:

  • Experienced in hosting webinars and creating engaging sessions
  • Enthusiastic about sharing expertise and knowledge
  • Willing to help spread the word about the webinar

Evaluation Process

Webinars are an opportunity to educate speakers within our network, while giving you an opportunity to promote your coaching, training and speaking skills, your business and solidify your expertise in the industry.

Your contact information for each speaker will be provided to each attendee.

Once submitted, your webinar pitch will be reviewed by the SpeakerHub Team. Submissions will be evaluated to ultimately develop a high-quality webinar based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation, creativity and originality of topic
  • Clarity, depth and specificity of proposal
  • Practical applicability
  • Qualifications, expertise and experience level of presenter
