Africa, and has brought a serious public policy platform of empowerment in Metro Detroit’s African community to give them a voice in both Lansing and D.C.
Currently, he is the Chairman of the Inkster Downtown Development Authority, President of the Inkster Library Board, Vice-President of the Inkster Economic Development Corporation, National Political Director of the Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC-USA), founding board member of the African Bureau of Immigration and Social Affairs and, and has helped create various non-profit organizations such as Tiffanycare, a program designed to empower homeless people in Houston, Texas. His dedication to empowering women in business and education is unmatched.
Akinyemi has a B.S in African American Studies from Eastern Michigan University and a M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.
In addition to his educational work, Mr. Akinyemi is also a speech coach and motivational speaker who work in the area of relationship building and counseling.
