LGBTQ+ Inclusion 101: Foundational Principles & Authentic Allyship
During this workshop, participants will: 1) Build foundational knowledge of gender and sexuality theory, inclusive language, and trans/non-conforming identities 2) Review the elements of authentic allyship for LGBTQ+ community members, including those who are questioning or coming out, to work towards authentic inclusion for people of all genders and sexualities 3) Develop an understanding of how sexual identity and gender identity combine with other dimensions of diversity and identity to shape the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals
How to Be an LGBTQIA+ Ally in the Workplace
During this workshop, participants will: 1) Deepen understanding authentic allyship for LGBTQ+ colleagues, including those who are questioning or coming out 2) Explore recommendations for workplace inclusion 3) Develop personal allyship plans to implement in their daily work
