Topic: looking back and recognizing the nudges from the universe that have always been there, trying to guide you and teach you, and ways to brave becoming who you want to be. My memoir, Dear Universe, I Get it Now: Letters on the Art and Journey of Being Brave and Being Me is full of stories I can draw from that speak to a long journey of ignoring my internal voice and knowing, constantly being in toxic relationships that kept me small, and always looking for permission and validation outside of myself. All of these things blew down my house of cards just before I jumped on the entrepreneurial path.

The more we know about ourselves, the more at home we are within ourselves, the more intentional we can be about the decisions we make in business and in life. We may not get to call the shots when we work for someone else but as entrepreneurs with self-made businesses, we get to design our businesses and brands however we want. And the more authentic and genuine we are the more success we’ll see.
