In 2011 André Liohn became the first Latin American and Scandinavian photojournalist to receive the prestigious Robert Capa Gold Medal by the Overseas Press Club for his work on the Libyan Civil War. His work documenting the challenges faced by health care personal working in conflict areas has been used by the International Committee of the Red Cross to denounce cases violence against health care personal around the world.
He has more than 500 lectures on his CV, during his 15 years as a speaker in Brazil and Europe. His lectures are tailored for open events (conferences, seminars and courses) as well as for closed events (in-company) for private companies. The lectures can be in Portuguese, English, Norwegian, Italian and Spanish.
