Anneke is a psychologist with a genuine desire to understand the human experience and to help others live with courage in ways that matter to them. She has worked for over 12 years in the mental health field in Australia with clients from all walks of life. When presenting she engages audiences using personal narratives, tales from therapy and the most current psychological science.
Anneke has sat on both sides of the therapy couch, struggling at times with her mental health and has benefitted immensely from her own therapy. Away from work Anneke enjoys training CrossFit, looking at art, being part of a psychology book club and dotting on her dog.
Anneke has extensive presentation experience. For a number of years, she ran workshops nationally for schools and their staff around mental health and wellbeing and now often presents to adult learners around topics like resilience and wellbeing. Audience members from previous presentations say Anneke is engaging, practical, relevant, and insightful.
Anneke will happily present on topics such as resilience, the power of self-compassion, anxiety and perfectionism, wellbeing and self-care. She also one of those rare folks who loves public speaking, so can easily design a presentation tailored to the needs of your group.
