Arthur Mendes Viegas was born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Despite being trained as an actor in his youth, he decided to shift his focus towards the process behind the camera, enrolling himself in Film School at a Brazilian university. Only one semester later, Arthur moved to the United States to finish his studies and get his degree in Film Production Technology. Arthur’s outstanding academic performance earned him a place in the PTK international honor society. Being a talented photographer and videographer, he started his career by working on several different productions in the film industry, including: Documentaries, Commercials, Short Films and many more. His life as an educator, however, started with him teaching the art of film making at a technical college in Florida at only twenty years of age. He became one of the youngest post-secondary education teachers in the country. His writing and public speaking abilities have earned him awards in his home country and have allowed him to create two feature length screenplays and a book.
