Like you, Barbara is always looking for the answer to the question, what makes a great speaker. Is it expertise? Preparation? Dynamic personality? A shot of Red Bull? Well, it's all of the above (minus the Red Bull). Barbara brings three things to her keynotes and presentations: depth of knowledge, a high-energy speaking style, and field-tested platform skills. She can grab and keep the attention of her audience.
Barbara splits her time between corporate training, executive coaching and teaching at the Wharton School of Business. When helping adults learn, Barbara combines her theatrical experience, Irish-Catholic humor, and her hard-won leadership skills to help professionals advance their careers.
Barbara has a long list of satisfied meeting managers and conference coordinators. Most recently she has spoken to audiences in cyber security, construction, healthcare, training & development, and higher education. Participants consistently comment on her energy and her ability to weave content in a creative and interactive manner.
Barbara currently lives in northeast Connecticut. Prior to that move, she lived in Wilmington, Delaware and worked with Right Management as an executive coach. During that time, Barbara delivered successful presentations to a wide range of organizations and industries, including JP Morgan Chase, Discover Card, and Willis Towers Watson.
A native Bostonian, Barbara holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a former collegiate rower and still has the calluses to prove it. Finally, and most importantly, she is a proud member of Red Sox Nation.
Barbara's secret mission in life is to rid the world of Death by PowerPoint.
