For fifteen years of my short life here on earth I was part of the many negative statistics that defined the youth of South Africa.
1. Was dependant on drugs and alcohol
2. Had low self-esteem
3. Could not keep a stable job
4. Spent long stretches of time without a job, sometimes for more than a year
5. I saw no progress in my life and career for many years after completing high school
6. Got into trouble with the law a couple of times, almost ended up in jail and having a criminal record
7. Tried to commit suicide because I was tired of making bad choices and hurting the people who love and care about me
In 2010 I decided to make a change. I started to attend church regularly. My life started to take positive turn around. I slowly learned how to live a responsible life. People around me started to see and admire the wonderful change in my behaviour.
At church I served in various leadership positions. I was on the church board as a deacon. I spent time as a youth leader, home cell leader and business development leader. I was also asked to consider becoming a Pastor by the church’s senior Pastor but decided to not go in that direction.
In 2014 I resigned from my Customer Service job at the Cell C call centre because I wanted to start my own business. I went to Mozambique for 3 weeks because I was invited to speak at a church in Maputo.
When I got back to South Africa I spent time praying, evaluating my life experiences and researching for opportunities to share what I have learned. In September 2014 I registered my Public Speaking business. A few months later, I received intensive business training from Shanduka Black Umbrellas, the International Award Winning Business Incubator.
I have developed a programme for people that is called Be The Best Version of YOU! My passion is help people tap into their inner strength, creativity, genius and ultimately perform at their peak.
