"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18) Understanding NO ONE is perfect and most of us love as much as we can or as much as we are personally able. As we are hurt by others that pain can last a lifetime, but understanding sometimes "They know NOT what they do" can help us rise above our wounded human condition. We are not what we lived through, but what we desire to be. Our journey is personal to each of us and our path to get there is just as personal. Let's take the time to understand our destination IS within our grasp if we only let go and move forward.

As a Foster/adoptive parent we have seen so many children live with extreme pain. The loss of their birth family as well as the trauma of what they lived through. The hurt can stain a child forever. We have the power to walk into the lives of children and show them the true goodness of REAL love not hurtful love. We can show them they are worth this life and have so much to offer. We are able to mentor and grow their gifts and talents as they mend from the harsh realization of their lives. Although children will not trust a stranger at first because their own blood let them down why would some strange person protect them? If you are strong enough and want to share you life and love with another person who needs it then this talk is for you. A mother of 12 I have had the pleasure of fostering more than I can count if only for a time of respite. I have given my heart to so many they still call, or stop by and it's great to see how they've grown and flourished.
