Traditional goal setting only utilizes one metric of success, either you achieve the goal or you don't. But if you are not successful, you have no idea of knowing what went wrong because you were not measuring any other variables. The new method focuses on setting what I call Bull's-Eye Action Steps. An action step meets the following criteria: 1. It is a move the needle action 2. It is %100 in your control and capability to complete 3. It can be completed in a day 4. It can be rewarded directly upon completion 5. It can be repeated consistently for a set time period This method allows for not only higher rates of achievement, but increased fulfillment and enthusiasm.
