My career in paramedicine began in the mid 1980's, since that time I have experienced the wealth of change the field of paramedicine has undergone. I have worked in almost all functions in the profession, from paramedic to intensive care paramedic; from educator to manager; in Australia and in Vanuatu.
I am now contributing to the profession from an academic role as senior lecturer in paramedicine at the University of Tasmania. In this role I have developed numerous degrees and lead and worked with a fantastic team of passionate academics to advance our profession.
My passion is the advancement of paramedicine, through advances in education and clinical practice. I am an active researcher with doctoral qualifications in paramedic education, and actively seek opportunities to work with paramedics to build their research literacy and capabilities.
