Bio

I’ve dedicated my 20-year career to understanding human behaviour. In particular, I have focused on how humans interact with technology and businesses. I’ve learned a lot about the elements that shape an experience and what makes an experience memorable for the right reasons, and of course the wrong reasons.

I’ve worked in UX agencies, and for large organisations including the BBC, National Air Traffic Services, and Bournemouth University. For the last 12 years, I have run a user experience consultancy working with top-tier clients including Financial Times, Siemens, Vitality, and Burberry.

My current role at Ipsos is UX Director for Europe where I inspire UX teams to deliver best practice UX for our clients who range from Google, Facebook, Amazon, BMW, and L'oreal.

This talk delivers the basics of what UX is, how it can me measured and maintained, and what the key differences are that make the difference between business success and failure. I provide a framework to take back to the office to assess your UX and outline some key next steps to make improvements.
