Dana Tran is a Global Manager of Industrial Cyber and Digital Security at Siemens, a global powerhouse focusing on areas of electrification, automation, and digitalization. They are one of the worlds largest producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies. Dana is a part of a pioneering team, dedicated to making the industrial environment more secure. This is where she collaborates with energy providers to help them better understand their cyber risks, implement solutions, validate security programs, and maintain a secure environment through cutting edge technology.
Dana, a Los Angeles native, is currently living in Washington DC. She is seen as digital security evangelist, where she has worked on cyber consulting projects in both private and public sector in countries such as; UAE, Singapore, Australia, UK, Malaysia, and much of South America. She has spoken on the topic of cyber at events and organizations such as; Bloomberg, Washington Post, Blackhat, Offshore Technical Conference, and RSA.
Her passion is to educate every person under the sun on how cybersecurity future-proofs our lives, and how we as individuals can take the responsibility to reduce cyber risk. A natural advocate for her profession, she believes awareness and education on cybersecurity is key. She would like to work towards a future where there are more than 20 percent of women, who make up the global cybersecurity workforce. She strongly believes in investing into our youth to explore areas of STEM, such as Cyber to broaden their career paths.
