The 7 steps of simplicity behind the complexity of Genetic Algorithms
One of the wonders of the AI sector are genetic algorithms (GAs) and they can be described in only one word : “EVOLUTIONARY”. These algorithms are inspired by Darwin's biological evolutionary theory so mostly all of us already know how they work. But today I’ll show you how using the concept of genes and genomes in programming has brought us in a great step to master solving the most complex problems. I’ll focus on explaining how we could map a problem into a programming gene and let it evolve to an optimal full solution. And for that I’ll be using the timetable scheduling problem as an example to walk you through the GAs. All you need to attend my talk is the curiosity and the love to learn new things, and no technical background is needed. So please join me into falling in love with those algorithms like I did! Stay tuned and until we meet Dania Azayzeh
Leadership from the eyes of your team
Abstract Having a healthy working environment where the team can grow, learn and deliver together is one of the keys to a successful product. And building such an environment and a team requires a true leader. The art of leadership comes from balancing between meeting deadlines while empowering your team. Yet practicing this as not as easy as it sounds like! Please join me to share with you how to be a leader in habit through my experience from working with many different teams at TW. Keynotes: By title I’m not a leader! I am just a software engineer who bridges the habits to be one. And what I’m about to share with you comes from my experience working with leaders and managers. I’ll be showing the differences between how leaders interact, and approach individuals and how managers do? Of course I need you to keep in mind that I’m not saying that one is better than the other. Because both roles are needed in different situations, and depending on the companies’ business models and t
