Since she discovered what she loved the most, Daniella Uchendu-Oji has explored different forms of art through different mediums; Photography, cinematography, drawing, public speaking, painting, animation and visual effects. Self-taught, Daniella began painting as a means of dealing with emotional and social tragedies. She created Abstract images and videos focusing on major social and emotional issues in the most abstract forms. Later experimented with abstraction and assemblage in the vein of passing a message across her and ten other students.
In her high school, Sacred Heart college Apapa, Lagos Nigeria she started a campaign that turned out to be a festival. Using their interior design skills her and her friends were able to gather money to support their campaign. These students ended up being recognized as the first ten students to hold an art festival campaign in among all the high schools in Lagos in 2016. She said,”We might have gotten recognition, but our main goal was also achieved and that makes me happy.” Her high school began to offer more Art courses and take art interests more seriously and that was her goal from the onset. She also has a passion for the law because of her interests in Art and activism she decided to make Law a part of her career.
She hopes to study Entertainment and Media Law at UCLA law school and pursue her Masters in Visual effects and television management afterward. With Regards to Software, she excels in Maya, Adobe after effects, premiere pro, Photoshop and is currently learning how to color grade- With Davinci Resolve and also learning some texturing software such as; Mudbox and Houdini.
Daniella started a #hashtag movement "#creativemillenialsandfocus while she was at Drexel University and had done one workshop. She has also written different articles on LinkedIn relating to the same topic and hopes to do more to introduce people to the "Creative mind" in ways that nobody else ever realized.
