Adler Law Group blends a deep understanding of intellectual property rights, remedies and modes of commercial exploitation with sophisticated corporate transactional practice involving structure, governance, finance and transactions.
The Adler Law Group offers a multidisciplinary practice focused on Copyright, Trademark, Media, Entertainment, IT/Ecommerce, Software, Privacy & Security. It provides counsel to executive staff often acting as a General Counsel, and advice to business units and executives on IP rights creation and enforcement, issues related to commercializing innovations and inventions, contracts and licenses, securities laws, corporate governance and managing outside counsel. Clients rely on us to draft and negotiate complex commercial transactions, supply/distribution agreements, development agreements and document mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and provide guidance on a range of regulatory matters.
Our goal is to provide a cohesive law practice counseling businesses across these interconnected matters. Businesses often experience a lack of continuity and consequently a lack of strategic vision in their legal representation. While executives may turn to one lawyer for the general business and contract needs, they must often turn to a second and even a third for intellectual property and technology-related matters.
The five key areas of my practice are:
• Intellectual Property Law
• Entertainment, Media & Arts Law
• Business & Corporation Law
• Digital Business/Electronic Commerce, Information Technology & CyberLaw
• Privacy & Security Law
Areas of Focus: 18+ years experience with USPTO; admitted State of Illinois and Federal Trial Bar; Drafting & negotiating software and intellectual property license & joint development agreements & contracts with significant IP issues; Litigation; Trademark/service mark and copyright filing & clearance.
