Declan Edwards is a thought-leader in the field of happiness & wellbeing, as well as the Founder of BU Happiness College - an organization that is growing global happiness by empowering individuals, and organizations, with the tools and the team to thrive.

An avid believer in the potential of people, Declan has seen firsthand that when people are equipped with the strategies to manage their emotions and master their mindset they make a positive impact not only in their own lives but also in the lives of those around them.

As a published author, podcast host, and international keynote speaker Declan is actively bringing the skillset of happiness back to the people and creating a world where people can thrive.

As a speaker, Declan draws from his qualifications and professional experience in fields such as Positive Psychology, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. He then seamlessly intertwines these practical tools with engaging and entertaining personal stories that keep the audience hanging on to every word.

Re-Igniting Your Spark for Life

Sometimes it feels like life is running a bit flat. Like we’re in a bit of a rut, stuck on a plateau.

It’s not as though things are “bad” but there’s a persistent feeling that something is missing – that spark of excitement isn’t as bright as it once was.

This is particularly relevant in the current chapter of life that many of us are navigating.

Lockdowns, loss of connection to loved ones, and cancelled plans have led to many of us feeling a bit ‘blah’ (for lack of a better word).

In this session, with BU Coaching Founder; Declan Edwards, you will:

- Explore how we experience this ‘blah’ feeling, and what it’s actually called

- Reflect on the things that used to ignite your inner spark for life

- Develop a plan of action that allows you to not only reignite that spark but also nurture it moving forward.

Research shows that up to 44% of people will experience burnout at some point in their working lives.

However, the effects of burnout aren’t just felt within your career. Burnout can affect your social life, your health, your close relationships, and your own mental & emotional wellbeing.

Now, more than ever, people are struggling with burnout. In fact, some research groups have suggested that burnout rates could grow to as high as 77% in the next 3 years if people aren't equipped to navigate this uncertain and challenging time that we all face.

Self Care Made Simple

Whilst there is a lot of talk these days about self-care a lot of it ends up being overly complex, contradictory and confusing.

As a result, a lot of people end up feeling more overwhelmed by the concept of self care and they become less likely to develop healthy self care habits.

This interactive workshop focuses on making self care simple again. During the workshop you will learn:

Mindfulness is one such tool that is often spoken about. Science is increasingly showing the positive benefits of regular mindfulness practices. Such benefits include reduced pain, improved mood, better physical health, enhanced mental health, stronger relationships, and even improved performance.

However, many people still struggle with making mindfulness work for them.

- Learn about the myths that prevent people from practicing mindfulness
