Defeat has never been an option for Donna Rae. She contributes her tenacity from being the youngest of 9 on a farm family that only had one shower that was on a well. She's had a whirlwind life, which includes dropping out of college, getting married at 20 and owning her second business by age 29. The balance of home and business lead to an amicable divorce from her business partner and father of her two sons. She eventually purchased a third and fourth business. As if being a single mother and dynamic entrepreneur wasn't enough, she was very involved with her community and assisting non-profits. Her passion for helping others would lead to being elected to public office where she served as a public servant. At 38 she was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and two neurosurgeons basically telling her that her life was over. Defeat not being an option, she sold her business to her sons' and moved to Florida to continue medical treatments. Eight spinal surgeries later, she was still looking how to continue her success while working through chronic pain. She started working on her first book, which took just over a year from the start until publication. That simply wasn't enough. While doing research on Google, she stumbled across a website that said "learn to tell your story". The Universe was speaking loud that day. The add was from her favorite speaker of all time, Les Brown. And better yet, he was just 2 1/2 hours from her new home. She was going to train with the best. On October 15, 2018 she was given devastating news that she has 12-18 months to live without a double lung transplant. As always she was not going to allow defeat and took matters into her own hands. On April 24, 2019 the transplant team closed her file. She has doctors stumped as she is no longer in need of a transplant at this time. Her life experiences will leave you feeling that you too can conquer the world and have the greatest time doing it! She recreated her life at 53 and is anxious to share her secrets of how to become the best version of you in both your personal and professional life.
