Dr. Josie Ahlquist is a digital leadership educator, discovering the intersection of social communication technologies and leadership capacity. As a speaker, author, and researcher she believes in challenging how we think about social media for building community and leadership development, as well a tool to empower teens and young adults.
As an international leadership speaker, Josie has trained thousands of student and educational professionals. Her vision is to provide a digital remix on how to empower leaders of the 21st century. From campus consulting to conference keynotes, her presentations balance between education and entertainment, using high energy and interaction along with learning outcomes and attendee reflection.
Josie's research is grant funded and award winning. She has an active research agenda, that digs into the digital experiences of senior executives, educational professionals, and college students. She is published in a number of journals and books including the Handbook for Student Affairs, Journal of Leadership Studies, New Directions for Student Services and New Directions for Student Leadership.
