Dr. Slevin's professional accomplishments extend beyond his medical career. He has received prestigious awards from Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, including the University College Dublin Pediatric Student of the Year and the Colman-Saunders Medal in Pediatrics. Additionally, he has been honored as the University of Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year for Residents and Fellows and has received the Virtua SuperSTAR Award for Physician Excellence.
Driven by his commitment to making a positive impact, Dr. Slevin actively supports various charitable causes. His philanthropic involvement spans animal welfare, arts and culture, economic empowerment, poverty alleviation, and social services. He proudly serves on the board of directors of PHL Cares, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness in westernmost Philadelphia. Dr. Slevin has also co-founded the Slevin Family Entrepreneurship Fund and the Anand-Slevin Fund for Entrepreneurship at the University of Pennsylvania, providing medical and entrepreneurial students with opportunities to pursue their passions. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Slevin treasures his personal life. Growing up in Donegal, Ireland, he developed a deep appreciation for the cultural and natural beauty of the region. Dr. Slevin was an accomplished junior athlete who represented Ireland internationally in track and field. He carries his love for sports to this day. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling to explore different continents, collecting socks, and engaging in his cooking and long-distance running hobbies. Dr. Slevin's genuine love for dogs is evident as he shares his home in Bucks County, PA, with his three beloved canine companions.
