Dr. Natasha Williams, Women’s Radical Self Care and Leadership Expert, Clinical Psychologist, Best selling author, International Speaker
Dr. Natasha Williams is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and the past Chair of the Board of Directors at Women’s Health in Women’s Hands, a Community Health Centre for black women and women of colour in Toronto. Dr. Williams is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) and Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). She is also the President of the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPSI), Toronto chapter. She was the OPA’s diversity delegate representative at the APA State Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. in 2011 and is the past Chair of the OPA Diversity Task Force whose aim is to raise awareness of the importance of diversity and to promote ongoing efforts to influence social change in the field of psychology practice in Ontario. She is also a past board member of the Ontario Psychological Association. Dr. Williams is a former faculty member with the Adler Graduate Professional School and is a former trainer with the Bridge Training program for internationally trained mental health professionals and TAPE Educational services which provides professional development programs for clinical teams at healthcare centres and human service organizations. Dr. Williams is also a guest facilitator/trainer with CAMH in topics such as culturally adapting cognitive behavioural therapy for the English-speaking Caribbean community and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Williams is the Clinical Director of Allied Psychological Services which provides a variety of psychological services such as assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, corporate consultation, research, supervision and training services to clients from diverse ethno-racial backgrounds, gender and socio-economic backgrounds.
Dr. Williams is a trailblazer in the field and she has not only continued her private practice in Toronto, but she has travelled around the world to places such as Hawaii, Peru, South Africa, Jamaica, Trinidad, Haiti, Suriname, Japan and India. She is also a guest radio and television personality.
She is a published best-selling author and her book Carpe Diem was released in March 2019. She has also been nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award presented by the Women of Influence and she is the recipient of the 2019 Soulful Image Magazine Inspirational Woman of Toronto Award.
