Based on 25+ years of building Estonia's public sector to be digitally administrated, I offer key take-aways, major milestones and lessons learned to accelerate the digital transformation in other governments.

Digital transformation begins with a digital-first mindset and a long-term vision. I discuss topics of inclusion, on-boarding the civil servants and the citizens, raising awareness, budgeting and interoperability to avoid separate siloes and make the public sector run seamlessly.

Digital transformation is not turning paper into pdf-s, but mindfully transform the way how a citizen interacts with the Government. I showcase Estonia's fundamental technologies for the digital society, as electronic identity, interoperability platform and cyber security. In addition, public-private partnership in technology procurement, UX/UI in government services and showcase using emerging technologies in the government level.
