Georgia has a long history of working across sectors and backgrounds to make lasting and meaningful advances to our society particularly in communication and team building.
She is the co-founder and director of Frailty Myths - a different kind of diversity, equity, and inclusion firm that focuses at the intersection of experiential learning and justice work to achieve change.
Georgia's experience is grounded in environmental and social justice movements where she has helped develop and lead inclusive, high-functioning teams. Her research is focused on how organizational behavior, emotional intelligence, and experiential learning can help individuals and teams thrive and advance justice. She has trained thousands of people in skills ranging from climbing to welding to conflict resolution to leadership and has consulted on a host of topics related to DEI and logistics. She has built teams ready to face the most extreme circumstances and inspired countless people to live fuller, happier, more meaningful lives. Her insight comes from a wide range of lived experiences, data-driven research, and a deep belief in self-determination and community power.
Georgia is available to facilitate small and large groups and for speaking events.
She is a dynamic speaker and has spoken on issues ranging from leadership & management, team building, women's issues, intersectionality, environmental justice, and the role of direct action.
Her work is deeply rooted in the understanding that the fight for justice necessarily includes solidarity with every fight for justice, and that exploring the intersections of oppression is a necessary part of dismantling it.
She spent a number of years working in the maritime industry on ocean-going ships where she learned many trade skills such as woodworking, welding, machining, boat driving, and deck management. She currently holds a USCG 100ton Captain's license.
