I am on a mission to transform lives by focusing on the simple practices of respect and Respectful Leadership. This focus drives the core message behind my public speaking, executive coaching, consulting and interactive experiential learning and development programs – that respect is an extraordinarily valuable tool to drive performance, productivity and partnership.
As a former trainer for The New York City Police Department, former journalist for BBC Radio, expert speaker, coach, consultant and author and highly sought after professional, I use powerful, humorous, and inspiring stories to win the hearts and minds of any audience including New York and California State Supreme Court justices, the leadership of global corporations and Admirals in the US Navy.
Once you see me in action, perhaps you won’t be surprised to learn that I trained to be a professional actor and have leading man experience on the New York and London stages. I am a consummate performer who brings an engaging mix of high energy, humor, creativity, expert storytelling, and real-world insight to any conference, meeting or event. In addition to my theater work, I also served as a freelance correspondent on assignment throughout Europe for BBC Radio, The Times of London and Scotland on Sunday among many other UK media outlets. I am most proud of having covered the fall of the Berlin Wall and love to tell stories from that adventure.
A New York Time Best-Selling Author, I wrote the best-selling business fable: The Respectful Leader: Seven Ways to Influence Without Intimidation (Wiley 2016) which was awarded "Best Book of the Month" status by the Editors at Amazon on the very first day of it's release! In 2018 it won the Gold Medal in the Business Fable Category of the prestigious Axiom Business Book Awards Competition. I am also the author of Bad Behavior, People Problems & Sticky Situations: a toolbook for managers and team leads.
My work around respect, respectful leadership, emotional intelligence and executive presence is based on my 25+ years of experience, serving some of the world’s top companies, and is designed to help leaders unleash the power of respect and generate a roadmap for supporting a winning culture based on Respectful Leadership.
