Over the last 15 years, I have immersed myself in solving social problems through diverse organizations, both local and global.
One of my early initiatives was a $15million socially conscious business that was built ground up. I focussed on educating consumers in the US about sustainable buying practices while working with women artisans in 35 countries guiding them on product development and smart business practices. This enabled them to put their work on the shelves of a Disney and Whole Foods store. More importantly, it laid the path to economic sustainability for over 10,000 families around the world.
More recently, I have been influencing the growth and expansion of a kitchen incubator in the Mission District in San Francisco. The focus is on providing essential infrastructure and training for low-income women and immigrant entrepreneurs who are launching businesses in an industry where the barrier to entry is high.
Currently, I am the COO at a company that is setting the standards for impact measuring and monitoring.
I am passionate about using my technology and business skills to create a lasting impact in education and women led enterprises.
