How to Inhabit Your Very Own Planet...The Planet of You

Let your mind revolve around this…’what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?' If you don’t succeed in inhabiting your own planet and completing the mission that you have been sent here to do, it may very well go undone. Will it be easy! No, Will it be hard, some days YES! Will inhabiting your own planet, PLANET YOU be worth it, YOU BET YOUR ORBIT IT WILL...and that's the view from Janet's Planet.

Unsung Genius, Heroines of Science

A presentation highlighting the females of the past and present who have contributed to the advancement of science. Time spent delving into the work of the real heroines of science takes us to worlds of star-gazing, of pushing against the utmost bounds of human knowledge, being bold, imaginative and decrying barriers, of pursuing dreams of expanding, understanding, healing, reproducing, seeing, remembering, discovering.

This talk encourages the female scientists of today and tomorrow by applauding and lauding with recognition the females who made incredible contributions to science and have gone largely unknown. This speech shines a light on the “Matilda Effect,” the repression or denial of the contributions of female researchers to science in history. Janet will showcase the genius, tenacity, grit and determination of amazing female scientists who are the role models and the shoulders of whom shall stand all future female scientists.

#WhatCanYouCre8

The world is in desperate need of your genius.

Burgeoning inside each and every one of you is an idea, an invention an innovation, or an incredible imagining of a construct of how life could be BETTER and different.

And I am here to challenge you to GO PURSUE THAT!

What really lights you up? Really makes you just restless with excitement? That is what you should pursue.

Strategic Innovation is not an end state. Rather it is a journey of open-minded exploration, experimentation, thinking, decision-making, action, results and learning, with the cycle then repeating. To successfully innovate is less tangible, measured in terms of progress over time rather than in absolutes. A journey of Strategic Innovation calls for learning by doing. Innovation calls for divergent thinking that encompasses exploratory, inquisitive and creative thinking.

A call to action and a call to pursue your passion.
