Jay Greig, a graphite pencil artist, born in Carson City, Nevada in 1980, enters the world of art as a self-taught artist.
Greig quickly developed a precise and refined technique. He firstly stared creating paintings of animals and nature.
As he developed, Greig turned his focus on drawing the humans. In his paintings, he gives his own personal touch.
Greig express his personal touch within each subject through carefully crafted lines. These lines give rise to elastic, compact figures and are supported by the shading and imagination of Greig.
By using this technique, Greig transforms the work into a mixture of real and unreal.
The drawings of Jay Greig have been widely published and have won many awards. Currently, these artworks reside in collections in Europe, the UAE and the United States.
Jay Greig is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Nevada. There he received his associate of Arts Degree.
