About
Jazz Lee-Coley, MPP, offers the modern perspective for Human Trafficking prevention and awareness.
What’s the Conversation?
When its comes to our communities what education, topics, and information are we sharing with each other? In the fight to protect our children and ourselves from modern slavery, education is our first line of defense. Local and rural communities are hunting grounds for traffickers, thus the conversation of anti-trafficking must start there! It’s time we include Human Trafficking in our community’s conversations. This presentation opens conversations of: -What is Human Trafficking, and how it’s closer to home than we think. -How local and rural communities can begin this conversation with local government.
Our Lens to Freedom: Identifying the Free to See the Unseen
Freedom, and a victim’s lack thereof, is not as apparent as we imply! It takes a deep correction of our mental lens to perceive the degrees of Freedom each of us experience. J. Lee-Coley’s research addresses the pitfalls in our current definitions and perceptions of Freedom. “We can’t see the Human Trafficking happening in front of us, because we don’t know how to look for it...Until now.” -J. Lee-Coley This presentation opens conversations of: -Insufficient Research and Data on experiences of Freedom -What does Freedom mean to you and how do you experience it? -Innovative Anti-Trafficking prevention strategy
Your perspective matters!
