Bio

WELLOGA is focused on delivering "Wellness to busy people" Virtually. A 360 degree of well-being.

"Each of us requires our own 'recipe' of stimulation vs. downtime, human vs. spiritual connection, as well as healthy food vs. exercise to remain balanced. When we master this unique combination, we experience life flowing easily." ~ Jennifer

Jennifer has always been a fitness lover, yoga advocate and keenly interested in nutrition. She changed her professional direction 4 years ago after a 16-year career in corporate retail planning after healing herself from a complicated battle with adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism and celiac disease.

Finding the magic in balancing her body, mind & spirit through Yoga & diet. She now shares her knowledge and experience daily with large corporate groups via; classes, webinars and wellness courses.

Jennifer has discovered our individual recipes for balance continues to evolve as we age and the circumstances of our lives change. After experiencing life abroad as an Expat herself in the Middle East and Indonesia Jennifer is no longer a stranger to change.

With each big shift whether it was a: big move, a new job, a new relationship or a change in health other changes needed to follow to make the transition smoothly.

So how did Jennifer stay balanced for the long term? Well, she didn't. Food quality, water quality, physical environment, relationships, social structure, and exercise choices all challenged her well-being - Her recipe for balance.

Jennifer experienced a process of trial and error to discover what would help her to achieve the right balance again. Spending a lot of money in the process and believing other people's solutions would be hers she only came up short.

Balance and harmony were only found when she listened more closely to her own body (heart & gut included!) the answers were there all along, some harder to acknowledge than others.

Jennifer believes achieving balance all starts by slowing down.

Slowing down enough to notice what our body, mind, soul actually need. She believes the biggest problem is not that we don't know how to observe what we need but rather we don't make the time or consciously choose to ignore the information we are receiving daily.

There is a state of being where you can find calm, clarity and peace through the regular practice of healthy eating, yoga and meditation. Finding this state gives you the space to listen, observe and make the changes you need to feel well.

You don't have to be a monk, an athlete, a hippie or alternative to achieve this state just a little time, curiosity and a desire to feel better.

~ Meet Jennifer. Discover how to find your middle ground it will change your life.

FINDING YOUR MIDDLE GROUND - Understand the connection that stress has to the body & mind

Understand the connection that stress has to the body & mind. An introduction to Mindfulness.
Look at your mental state of being and how it's constantly changing.
You will see that you are not alone in your challenge to manage stress!
You are human and step 1 is understanding that and giving yourself a break.

TRANQUITY TOOLBOX - 7 ways to combat stress and anxiety: body, mind and soul

Learn some quick tools to feel better now!
Using yoga as a form of stress management.
Remember yoga is not only movement. It's also breathing, meditation, and healthy ways to look at life!
We looks at each tool from a physical, mental and emotional standpoint.
This way everyone walks away with a few immediate solutions for symptoms.

SLOWDOWN SUPERSTAR - Slowing down makes you more productive not less!

Developing self-awareness is the first major skill learned when slowing down.
Self-awareness is what allows us to see the cause our stress and learn how to pivot in the future.
Learn about human instincts and balancing energy. A huge win here is seeing some of that frustration dissipate and developing an appreciation for simple things.

FORMULA ONE - Creating healthy boundaries, empowering yourself and finding support

We don't always feel we have the option to slowdown. We have important responsibilities to meet and deadlines to hit. But by creating healthy boundaries, empowering yourself and finding support, you can create the opportunity to slowdown more often. Discovery ways to do this in your own life right now!
Plus, see what is happening to your brain waves during meditation :) Very cool stuff.

REST & DIGEST - Understanding stress and letting go of what you can't control

Look at your nervous system and understand what is happening to you anatomically.
It's often the missing piece to understanding your stress. Know what's in your control and what is not.
Focus your energy accordingly, stop beating yourself up for being human.

YOGA BLISS - Why Yoga makes you feel so great.

Learn five ways to trigger your "rest and digest' mode. Explore each.
You will enjoy lots of movement and breathing in this module. Yoga is something you can practice every day and not feel depleted.
Over time you will see that you can rely on yoga to move you to various mental and physical states: more energy, more focus, more calm. It's your practice no one else's.

STICKY PATTERNS - How to adopt new ways to move forward.

Slowing down is a big part of managing stress but the other side exists too.
The side where you are complacent and comfortable. Some of these comforts and/or habits can be eating up your time and energy unnecessarily.
This week we look at why it’s hard to change. You will learn a manageable & flexible system to overcoming habits that are not serving you.

GUT FEELINGS - Don't let your emotions take over the drivers seat!

Emotions are complex but they don't have to be if you break down some fundamentals.
Understanding your feelings from a psychological and physical standpoint will empower you.
You will become better at letting things go faster.
You will dig a little deeper this final week by looking at your likes, dislikes, ego and environment. Learn to react with grace and be less stressed.

  • Jennifer was part of a digital event we held in March 21 called "The Future of Wellness". She provided us with short "wellness breaks, " leading our audience through simple exercises and techniques. Working with Jennifer was super easy - she sent us excellent videos recorded in her home studio, was very flexible (pun slightly intended) with the focus and topic for each break, and we got great feedback on the segments. Jennifer is very approachable and accessible on video; very down-to-earth and her personality comes through really clearly. I highly recommend Jennifer for other events.

  • Jennifer is leading our employees on an amazing journey of self discovery and mindfulness. Her approach combines the emotional, the physical and the intellectual in a way that engages all types of learners. When Jennifer speaks, her passion for healing is obvious and her message is warm, sincere and motivating. One of Jennifer's key strengths is that she has a solid background in the corporate world. She understands the trigger points and stressors that executives and employees are faced with. Her program addresses these issues in a way that is unique and has truly made a difference in the wellness of our employees at Profisee.

  • Jenn has become an integral part of our wellbeing offering at Foresters, delivering regular meditation, yoga, healthy cooking and stretch & tone classes. Recently, Jenn designed and hosted a virtual session on Self-Care 101, as part of our Wellbeing Foundations series, that was very well received by employees. Jenn takes time to welcome and get to know her audience, which builds rapport with employees and makes these sessions a success. She's a great partner and we love working with Jenn!
